SBS elastomer modified asphalt waterproofing membrane is made by using SBS (styrene butadiene styrene) thermoplastic elastomer modified asphalt as the impregnation material, high-quality polyester felt, fiberglass felt, and fiberglass reinforced polyester felt as the base material, fine sand, mineral particles, PE film, aluminum film, etc. as the covering material, and using specialized machinery to mix and grind.

Specific Applications & Use Cases

Installation Guide (Torch-Applied)

Surface Prep: Ensure the substrate is dry, clean, and free of debris. Apply a bitumen primer for better adhesion.
Alignment: Lay out the rolls to ensure proper overlap (usually 100mm for side laps and 150mm for end laps).
Heating: Use a propane torch to heat the underside of the membrane and the substrate simultaneously until the bitumen surface glistens (the "molten" state).
Bonding: Roll the membrane forward, pressing firmly to eliminate air pockets.
Sealing: Heat the overlap joints and use a trowel to create a seamless, watertight bond.

Safety First: Ensure proper ventilation and fire safety equipment are on-site during torch application.
Weather Conditions: Do not install during rain, snow, or high winds. Substrate moisture should be below 9%.
Storage: Always store rolls vertically in a cool, dry place to prevent deformation. Do not stack pallets more than two layers high.
Inspection: Conduct a 24-hour water-tightness test (flood test) after installation to ensure zero leaks.
